Tiger Paw Guest Instructor Barberio and Crunch Team Mates advance to second round

Our Tiger Paw Elite Summer Hockey School guest instructor Mark Barberio and his Syracuse crunch team mates swept the Portland Pirates in the best of five series in round one of the American Hockey league playoffs.

The Crunch's opponent has yet to be determined.

Barberio was named a second team All Star this season, called up to two games with the Tampa Bay Lightning of the National Hockey League and seems posed to make the jump to the next level.

In 2012, Mark was selected the Outstanding Defenseman in the American Hockey League.
