Tiger Paw Announcement: Martin Lee returns to Instruct

Former Lac St Louis Tiger assistant coach Martin Lee will be returning to the Tiger Paw Elite Summer Hockey School after his first season playing hockey in the UK. Martin started with the Oxford City Stars and then, in January, was moved to the Bristol Bulls.
Martin graduated from the Haaga - Helia University in Finland, studying Applied Sciences as applied to sports, specifically hockey coaching. Martin played tier II Junior in Finland for three years as well. While serving as an assistant coach with the Lac St Louis Tigers, Martin served in the same capacity with the Concordia Stingers Men's Hockey team under the guidance of Stingers Head Coach Kevin Figsby. The work that Martin completed during his time with the Tigers represented the content for his thesis paper at Haaga - Helia University where he discussed the pros and cons of video teaching/coaching to elite level midget aged players. Martin has represented his native New Zealand in a number of world championships and won gold at the 2007 U20 world championships Division II. That is the same tournament as Canada, but a different bracket. Martin will travel to Reykjavik Iceland April 12th to 18th. http://www.iihf.com/channels1112/wm-iia/statistics.html Martin left his home in Kerikeri, New Zealand to pursue his goal of playing professional hockey at age 15 when he moved to the Ukraine without friends or family.
